Save money in New York this winter

NYC & Company is set to launch a number of initiatives over the coming months that will allow travellers to save money during breaks in New York City.
The marketing organisation recently confirmed the dates for NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2011, which will provide prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus at hundreds of different dining establishments from 24 January to 6 February.
George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Company, said the agency is gearing up for 'another great season of NYC Restaurant Week'.
He added: 'Winter 2011 promises an impressive lineup of participating eateries - well over 200 reasons to partake in New York City's leading culinary celebration.'
This winter will also feature the first ever Broadway Week, which will launch at the same time as Restaurant Week on 24 January but continue until 10 February next year.
The event will allow theatregoers to buy two-for-one tickets for some of the city's biggest stage shows when they go on sale on 3 January 2011.
Furthermore, NYC & Company has launched a discount programme offering up to 25% off room rates at almost 100 hotels in New York between 2 January and 28 February next year.
