Travellers visiting Calgary in the Canadian province of Alberta next year will be able to check out some new attractions in the city.

In March 2011, Olympic Park will host the opening of the new Sports Hall of Fame, which will showcase a range of artefacts and interactive displays relating to some of the country's greatest athletes and sports competitors.

Holidaymakers can visit the new attraction to learn more about some of the sports that have become a significant part of Canada's history.

Also due to open its doors in Calgary next year is TELUS World of Science, which is set to begin welcoming guests in the autumn.

Described by Travel Alberta as 'a unique kind of science centre', the attraction will host regular exhibitions, activities and events inviting visitors to learn more about some fascinating concepts and topics.

People visiting Canada between 8 and 17 July next year will be able to join in with the Calgary Stampede, which will feature rodeos, wagon racing, live music and much more to enjoy.
