NYC Restaurant Week booking to open on 12 January
21 Dec 2010

Travellers planning to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy some affordable meals in New York early next year will be able to make bookings for NYC Restaurant Week from 12 January 2011.

The event will run from 24 January to 6 February next year and will offer three-course lunches for a fixed price of $24.07 (£15.50) and dinners for $35.

More than 300 venues are set to participate, meaning the winter 2011 outing will be the largest NYC Restaurant Week ever.

George Fertitta, chief executive of promotional agency NYC & Company, said the event provides a 'great benefit' for customers and dining establishments alike.

'With this biannual promotion, consumers have the opportunity to experience top-notch dining at affordable prices, and the city's restaurants attract more customers in the first quarter of the year, which in turn supports our dining industry - a cornerstone of New York City's vibrancy,' he added.

A number of popular restaurants will be returning to the programme next year, including Dos Caminos, Le Cirque and the Russian Tea Room.
