New festival being launched in Copenhagen

In a bid to attract more visitors to Copenhagen in the winter months, four successful brands and a rock festival have teamed up to create a new event.
WonderCOOL is designed to bring a new sense of life and boost visitor numbers in Denmark's capital city in the first quarter of the year, when hotels traditionally suffer from low occupancy rates.
It represents a collaboration between the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Danish Design Centre, Copenhagen Fashion Festival, Copenhagen Cooking and the Frost rock festival, as well as the city's tourist board.
The new event will feature a diverse programme combining fashion, design, music and gastronomy and is set to 'get February buzzing', according to the local promotional agency.
This is thought to be the first time that a number of separate events and brands have been combined to create a joint festival.
If WonderCOOL proves a success, it will be turned into an annual tradition.
The full programme will be published on the festival's official website in January and events will run throughout February.
