DK Eyewitness releases travel guide apps

DK Eyewitness Travel has launched a series of apps based on its popular Top 10 series of guides.
The company is initially offering five applications for the iPhone and iPod touch, covering the cities of London, Paris, New York, Rome and Barcelona.
According to the travel guide publisher, the new apps showcase 'the very best that each city has to offer'.
Popular historical and cultural attractions are listed, along with restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and walking routes that allow visitors to get to know their destination.
The iPhone and iPod touch guides also have a feature that pinpoints the user's physical location and provides recommendations in five different categories: eating and drinking, accommodation, entertainment, shopping and sights.
Travellers can also make use of a bookmark tool and create customised itineraries.
DK's new apps are available to download now from the App Store for £3.99 each.
