Fuerteventura 'is perfect beach holiday idea'

Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands is the perfect choice for Britons looking for a relaxing beach holiday, a travel expert has said.
Jota Cabrera Bonney, director of the Fuerteventura Tourist Board, said the destination has the best beaches in the Canary Islands and offers tourists the chance to enjoy completely deserted white sands and turquoise waters.
Mr Bonney noted that Fuerteventura is not as developed as Gran Canaria and Tenerife, so the accommodation on offer is still quite new.
"We have accommodation that is very new, very modern and very, very comfortable and at the same time, our natural resources are unique," he said.
Mr Bonney went on to reveal that tourism to Fuerteventura is expected to increase over the course of the next 12 months.
According to European aviation figures published by ACI Europe, the overall passenger traffic at European airports increased by 8.8 per cent in October 2010 compared to the same period the year before.
