Nice Carnival to return in February

Travellers will be heading to southern France next month to witness the start of one of the world's biggest carnivals.
The 2011 Nice Carnival will get underway on 18 February and continue until 8 March.
Among the highlights of the annual event is the series of carnival processions, which bring together 20 colourful floats that work their way along a route towards the Place Massena.
Parades take place every day and night - with the evening events boasting spectacular illuminations - and feature more than 1,000 dancers and musicians from around the world.
Visitors can also look out for the flower processions, which take place along the Promenade des Anglais between the Theatre de Verdure and Hotel Negresco.
Floats decorated with an array of beautiful blooms travel along the route, while characters in extravagant attire shower the crowd with mimosas, gerberas and lilies.
Travellers interested in joining in with this year's celebrations can catch flights to Nice with carriers such as easyJet, British Airways and Swiss.
