Music fans planning to treat themselves to a Caribbean holiday this month will have the opportunity to see a Grammy award-winning band live in concert.

Maroon 5 are set to headline the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, which will run from 23 to 29 January.

The group will play at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium, on a bill that also includes chart-topping singer-songwriter Diana King and Laura Izibor, who was singled out as an 'artist to watch' by Rolling Stone magazine.

Concerts will be performed in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios along the north coast of Jamaica.

John Lynch, the country's director of tourism, said: 'This world-famous festival has gone from strength to strength with 2011 being no exception, including performances from some of the best international music talent.

'The festival now runs for a full week and aside from the music, also gives visitors an opportunity to sample a diverse range of delicious Jamaican and international food.'

Tickets for the event start from £51 for a single night and from £110 for a weekend.
