John Legend confirmed for Saint Lucia Jazz

American singer-songwriter John Legend has been confirmed as the headline act for the 2011 Saint Lucia Jazz festival.

Set to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, the event will run from 4 to 8 May.

Legend will be one of many big names on the programme, along with the likes of Angelique Kidjo, Maceo Parker, Morgan Heritage and Regina Carter.

Visitors will be able to enjoy all sorts of music at the festival, including jazz, reggae, soul and R&B.

Jean-Marc Flambert, director of marketing in the UK and Europe for the Saint Lucia Tourist Board, said: 'Saint Lucia Jazz truly is one of the most important dates in both the Saint Lucian and Caribbean calendar and the line-up is always hotly anticipated.

'The event draws in worldwide attention and we plan to make this year's celebration the best yet.'

Music fans interested in attending this year's festival can catch flights to Saint Lucia with British Airways, American Airlines, Iberia and other carriers.
