New apps for airport lounge users

New apps for airport lounge users
28 Jan 2011

Regular travellers can now make use of an enhanced iPhone application and new iPad app from Priority Pass, which claims to be the world's leading independent airport lounge programme.

The tools enable passengers to locate and see details of the more than 600 lounges available through the Priority Pass scheme.

Using satellite navigation technology, the applications can pinpoint the nearest facilities based on the individual's current location and also provide an offline search function allowing travellers to search for available lounges at any airport.

New features mean users can also view images of lounges, compile a 'favourites' list and review their recent searches.

Jonathan French, head of brand at Priority Pass, said: 'Our members are constantly on the move and these apps are ideal for quickly finding a bit of peace and quiet at the airport.

'We have similar apps for Android and Blackberry devices in the pipeline and these will be available within the next two months.'

The iPhone and iPad applications are available to download free from the iTunes store.
