New York winter dining programme extended

Travellers planning a trip to New York in the near future will have more opportunities to make the most of a winter dining promotion in the city.
NYC & Company, the destination's tourism marketing organisation, announced that the NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2011 programme had been extended until 27 February.
More than 200 leading establishments are taking part in the initiative, offering fixed-price lunch menus for $24.07 (£15) and dinners for $35.
NYC & Company chief executive George Fertitta said: 'The extension of NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2011 gives diners more incentive to sample some of the city's best dining and offers a great boost to the more than 200 participating restaurants during a traditionally slow season.
'For three more weeks our city's neighborhoods will celebrate the art of cooking, the pleasure of dining and making time to sit down for a proper meal.'
Restaurants that will be offering the reduced prices over the coming weeks include the Atlantic Grill at Lincoln Center, Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse, the National and Nobu New York.
