Vancouver visitors urged to see aquarium
23 Feb 2011

Travellers planning a trip to the city of Vancouver in Canada this year have been encouraged to visit the destination's aquarium.

The aquarium is located in Stanley Park, a popular attraction among walkers and cyclists that covers an area of 1,000 acres.

A spokeswoman for Tourism Vancouver pointed out that the complex is home to more than 70,000 animals and offers 'plenty to see and do'.

She added: 'Some of my personal favourites include watching the daily beluga whale, dolphin and sea otter shows.

'I also really like the new 4D theatre, where visitors get to experience a cinematic adventure accompanied by sensory effects - wind, mist, scents and a few other surprises.'

The Tourism Vancouver representative also recommended stopping off at the organisation's visitor centre, which she described as a 'great one-stop shop' for guidance and advice on making the most of the city.

Other attractions on offer include the Capilano suspension bridge and Grouse Mountain, which provides the backdrop for scenic cable car rides.
