New Anish Kapoor exhibition in Manchester

Art enthusiasts planning to catch flights to Manchester for a city break over the coming months will have the opportunity to see a major new exhibition.
Anish Kapoor: Flashback will open at Manchester Art Gallery on 5 March and run until 5 June 2011.
Kapoor is known for his striking sculptures made from materials such as pigment, stone, polished stainless steel and wax, which have won him international acclaim, a Turner Prize and prestigious commissions all over the world.
The Manchester Art Gallery show will be the first major showcase of the artist's work to be held outside London for more than a decade.
It will feature two important pieces representing the early stages of Kapoor's career from the Arts Council collection, as well as more recent creations on loan from his studio and major UK archives.
Manchester Art Gallery will be the launch venue for the new exhibition, which will later head to Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery (19 November 2011 - 11 March 2012) and the Longside Gallery at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (16 June - 4 November 2012).
