Disneyland Paris launches iPhone app

Disneyland Paris is launching a new iPhone application designed to help visitors make the most of their trip to the park.
Available for free on all iPhone models, the app provides information including opening times for various attractions, shows, parades, restaurants and shops, as well as admission rates and special offers.
Users can also customise their trip by plotting itineraries based on the type of experience they are seeking and check the expected waiting time for different rides.
The application is the first of its kind from a Disney theme park.
Nicolas Gougenheim, operations optimisation director at the park, said: 'Following on from dynamic information panels, Bluetooth and Flashcode, the Disneyland Paris iPhone application fits perfectly into our innovation-focused culture, which aims at providing our guests with the very latest in information-on-demand technology, so as to ensure they enjoy optimal quality of service.'
With more than 215m visits since it opened in 1992, Disneyland Paris claims to be Europe's leading tourist destination.
It recently launched a new advertising campaign highlighting the 'magical moments' that families enjoy when children learn they are visiting the park.
