Paris 'top city destination for Brits'

The perennially popular tourism hotspot of Paris is currently the leading city break destination for Britons, according to Abta - The Travel Association.
A spokeswoman for the organisation pointed out that the French capital is famous for its culture and is also easily accessible from the UK, with transport options such as the Eurostar and a wide range of flights to choose from.
The destination also appeals to families visiting Disneyland Paris, which is home to attractions inspired by everything from Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty to Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones.
Commenting on the other experiences on offer to people visiting the city, the Abta spokeswoman said: 'There are art galleries and restaurants, [which are] the main attractions for Paris. They also have lovely parks and outside spaces. It is a year-round destination.'
Travellers catching flights to Paris - which are provided by easyJet, Air France, British Airways and other carriers - can visit famous locations such as the Louvre and Notre Dame cathedral and see landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.
