BA doubles capacity on Mallorca flights

BA doubles capacity on Mallorca flights
27 Apr 2011

Strong demand for travel to Mallorca has led British Airways to double capacity on its route from London City airport to Palma.

The current three weekly flights will increase to six services per week, operating every day except Saturday in July and August.

Furthermore, Friday and Sunday connections to Palma de Mallorca will continue until 31 October this year, meaning passengers can travel to the island during the school half-term holiday.

The introduction of additional services and larger aircraft means that BA will be providing more than 25,000 seats to the popular holiday island from London City over the coming months.

New routes to Faro in Portugal and Malaga in Spain are also set to be launched from the airport in June as part of the carrier's drive to expand the range of leisure options available to passengers.

BA offers flights to a total of 12 destinations from London City, with cities such as Barcelona, Nice and Madrid also accessible from the Docklands base.
