Flight times app launched for smartphones

OAG has launched the FlightTimes app for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices, allowing users to view published flight schedules for every airline and airport in the world.
The organisation, which claims to be the 'global leader in aviation intelligence', said that the application gives carriers and airports the capability to provide their customers with 'the convenience of flight schedules at their fingertips'.
Users can download the tool directly from their airline, airport or app store and search for services by route, location or flight number.
Results of individual searches can be saved and are automatically updated, meaning the application will always list the latest scheduled operating times.
John Grant, executive vice president of OAG's parent company UBM Aviation, said: 'OAG FlightTimes is just one [of] our innovative new services developed to help our industry customers stay ahead of the competition and offer their customers more value and convenience.
'Our mobile apps utilise leading-edge smartphone technologies and OAG's best-in-class schedules data to deliver the most accurate information anywhere, anytime.'
