Dates confirmed for NYC Restaurant Week

NYC & Company has announced the dates for the next NYC Restaurant Week, which will be celebrating its 20th annual outing this summer.
The event will run from 11 to 24 July, during which time New York visitors will be offered three-course lunch menus for a fixed price of $24.07 (£14.60) and dinners for $35 at hundreds of participating restaurants.
These prices have remained the same for the last 12 years of NYC Restaurant Week.
Customers will be able to take advantage of the special prices on weekdays, with Saturdays excluded from the initiative and Sundays optional for the dining venues taking part.
NYC & Company chief executive George Fertitta said: 'This season we are looking to thank all of the people throughout the industry - from the chefs to the wait staff - who have helped make NYC Restaurant Week a success over the years.
'We anticipate summer 2011 to be the largest culinary celebration to date and encourage locals and visitors alike to start marking their calendars.'
Launched in 1992, the event has expanded over the years from 95 participating restaurants to more than 300.
