Prehistoric experiences on offer in Valencia

Prehistoric experiences on offer in Valencia
6 May 2011

Travellers visiting Valencia this month can see a display which the Spanish Tourist Office describes as the 'greatest exhibition' of robotic dinosaurs in Europe.

The show has been based at the City of Arts and Sciences since May last year and will run until 29 May 2011.

It covers an area of 3,000 square metres and offers experiences that will take visitors on a journey to prehistoric times.

Dinosaur models range in stature from the relatively small stegosaurus, at just over two metres, to the giant diplodocus, which measures 27 metres from nose to tail.

Visitors can enjoy the replicas' realistic movements and learn more about their time on Earth.

Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences, which is located where the old Turia river used to flow, comprises attractions including an IMAX cinema, a planetarium and a science museum.

People visiting the destination during holidays in Spain can also take the opportunity to explore the Barri del Carme neighbourhood and see the Seu cathedral.
