Red Sea resorts expand yachting marinas

Sailing enthusiasts looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday on the Red Sea may be glad to learn that two Egyptian resorts have announced expansions to their marinas.

El Gouna and Taba Heights have met with unprecedented demand for moorings, so the resort towns have added to their yacht facilities this year.

The recently completed North Basin at El Gouna can accommodate an extra 106 vessels, with a maximum length of 80m.

Holidaymakers arriving on flights to Egypt can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and watersports at the resort, including power boating and sailing as well as scuba diving and golf.

Furthermore, Taba Heights has room for up to 50 yachts to moor up, and guests can also take day excursions to Petra and the Dead Sea.

Situated at the border between Egypt, Jordan, Israel and Saudi Arabia, Taba Heights is ideally placed for holidaymakers and car hire customers looking to explore the Middle East.
