Yosemite National Park 'more spectacular than ever'

Now is the time to take a family holiday to the Yosemite National Park, it has been claimed.
The Californian National Park is already one of North America's most-popular natural attractions, with tens of thousands of foreign and domestic tourists heading there each year in order to enjoy spectacular scenery and world-class walking and biking trails.
However, according to the park authorities, this summer, the park is even more compelling than usual, thanks largely to the fact that recent heavy rainfall has served to swell numerous streams and waterfalls.
'The wetter than normal winter, combined with precipitation falling later in the year than average, has created an amazing spectacle in the park, with waterfalls flowing at unbelievable levels. It's truly amazing,' Jarod Lyman from the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau explained.
Yosemite was named as a World Heritage Site back in 1984, with 95 per cent of the park currently designated as wilderness.
