First-time visitors urged to see Nice's Old Town

Holidaymakers who will be heading to Nice in southern France for the first time this year have been encouraged to see the city's Old Town.
People exploring this area will be offered an insight into local history and can learn more about the city's distinctive character and culture, which result from the fact that it was independent until 1860.
Jessika Bettan, marketing attache at the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Nice, also recommended exploring the markets to pick up some regional produce.
'The Old Town with the little narrow streets, the houses are all painted yellow and red, and with the sunlight shining it really brings everything to life,' she said.
'Everyday we have a food and vegetable market and a flower market, except on Mondays when we have an antique market. It makes it a very lively place all year long.'
Holidaymakers can see all of the major sights and attractions on offer in the city during hop on-hop off bus tours, which stop at 14 different locations.
