People planning a trip to Taiwan can now download a free electronic travel guide focusing on the island.
The English-language Taiwan eBook is available for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices.
Users can get information and recommendations relating to local attractions in five categories: ecological tours, urban highlights, arts, culture and cycle tours.
The guide, which was assembled and launched by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, encompasses a total of 1,010 scenic locations and 20 recommended itineraries.
Phone numbers are listed for people who want to contact attractions, while a GPS function will help visitors find their way to different destinations.
Travellers heading to Taiwan can also make use of the Thru Bus, the world's first carbon-free amphibious electric vehicle, which has been launched in Taipei.
The service provides the capacity to carry eight people and operates on the Keelung river, connecting the Miramar Entertainment Park to the Dazhi area of the Taiwanese capital.
