Sao Paulo has 'incredible' nightlife

Sao Paulo has 'incredible' nightlife
5 Jul 2011

The bar, club and restaurant scene in Sao Paulo has won praise from Lonely Planet.

According to the travel guide book series, the Brazilian city is a wonderful place to go out and party.

Gap year travellers, in particular, will be drawn to Sao Paulo's 'incredible' nightlife, suggested Heather Carswell, a spokeswoman for the publisher.

'Aside from the cultural attractions the main appeal for gap year travellers will be the city's incredible nightlife,' she explained.

But it is not just young people who can have a good time in Sao Paulo, which is the largest city in Brazil and the seventh-largest city in the world in terms of population.

Indeed, the nightlife scene is open to everyone and different travellers will find something that appeals to them.

This may be in part due to the ethnic and cultural diversity in the city.

'Sao Paulo knows how to party and has a great variety of bars, nightclubs and live music venues to suit every taste,' Ms Carswell concluded.
