Toronto's CN Tower to launch terrifying high walk
15 Jul 2011
Adrenaline junkies heading to Toronto this summer will be able to take in some spectacular views of the city 356 metres above ground level.
The famous CN Tower is launching an exhilarating high walk which will see brave individuals take a 30-minute tour around the edge of the tower.
They will move along a ledge just 1.5 metres wide on the roof of the 360 Degrees Restaurant, strapped on firmly with harnesses of course.
EdgeWalk will be opening on August 1st to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the tower's construction.
Originally opened in 1976, it was the world's tallest building until 2007, when the title was claimed by the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
In 1995 it was named one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Those courageous enough to attempt the EdgeWalk will receive a keepsake video of their experience, along with photos and a certificate of achievement.
