New York Aquarium to offer discount entry in August

The New York Aquarium will offer discounts of 20% on admission prices throughout August to celebrate being named the city's Culture Spot for the month.
Located on the boardwalk in Brooklyn's Coney Island, the attraction is home to more than 350 species of aquatic wildlife, including sharks, walruses, otters and sea lions.
It covers an area of 14 acres and is the oldest continually operating aquarium in the US.
The Culture Spot programme was launched by promotional agency NYC & Company to encourage cultural tourism in New York City's five boroughs by highlighting a different arts organisation or attraction every month.
Annie Bergen, vice president of arts and cultural programmes at NYC & Company, said: 'Summer is the perfect time for locals and visitors to experience New York City's aquatic surroundings and attractions, which is why for August's Culture Spot we chose the New York Aquarium - one of our most iconic draws.'
Jon Forrest Dohlin, director of the attraction, added: 'Something new and exciting is always happening at the New York Aquarium, and we invite all to plan a trip and discover our ocean wonders.'
Discount coupons are available from information centres in locations including Times Square, City Hall and Chinatown.
