Shook! restaurant opens at Shanghai hotel

In what YTL Hotels describes as 'the most anticipated restaurant opening of the year', Shook! has opened its doors on top of the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai's Bund area.
The eatery is led by executive chef Kevin Cape and four master chefs, who have designed a menu comprising four different types of cuisine - Chinese, Japanese, south-east Asian and modern western.
Among the signature dishes are stir-fried prawns with hot mayonnaise sprinkled with honey-glazed walnuts, confit of slow-cooked salmon and Cajun-style sea bass.
In addition to its main dining area, the restaurant features the Time Bar and The Gallery, a banquet hall that can host private receptions for up to 250 people.
Shook! occupies the penthouse floor of the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, where guests can also visit alfresco lounges to take in views of the Huangpu river and Pudong.
It is the second dining venue to be opened by Malaysian chain YTL Hotels under the Shook! brand, joining a restaurant at Starhill Gallery in Kuala Lumpur.
