Adventure 'never far away in Israel'
1 Aug 2011
Travellers visiting Israel will find that adventure is just 'a few steps away', according to the national tourism agency.
Melissa Ramsden, PR manager for the Israel Government Tourist Office, pointed out that the country is the size of Wales but boasts 'incredible diversity' in terms of its culture, people and landscapes.
Visitors planning to explore the nation and seek out some of its unique experiences should be able to find their way around fairly easily, according to Ms Ramsden.
'There is signage all over the country in Hebrew, Arabic and English, which ensures that touring the country will be straightforward for travellers speaking any of these languages,' she said.
'The dramatic changes in landscape from the greenery of the north to the undulating curves of the desert in the south create choice and change for the traveller seeking adventure.'
Activities on offer in Israel include sand buggy rides in the Negev desert, climbing in Timna Park and watersports in the Red Sea.
