Virgin Atlantic introduces Skinny Dippers
9 Aug 2011
Virgin Atlantic has introduced a new culinary option for economy passengers - Skinny Dippers desserts.
The airline described the chocolate and caramel iced snacks - which contain 65 calories per dipper - as 'a great way to indulge your craving for something a little bit naughty this summer, whilst ensuring the holiday diet isn't ruined'.
Part of the Skinny Cow range, Skinny Dippers have been introduced by Virgin Atlantic as part of an update of the airline's summer menus.
The desserts are available for free on Virgin Atlantic flights to the Caribbean, the US and Tokyo Narita airport from London Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester.
Head of inflight services Simon Soni said: 'We are delighted to embark on this partnership with Skinny Cow and are really pleased to offer their Skinny Dippers to our economy passengers.
'At just 65 calories each, our passengers can enjoy a tasty treat onboard but not have to worry about their waistline.'
Other recent changes announced by Virgin Atlantic include an extension of its codeshare agreement with Air New Zealand to include flights from London to Auckland via Shanghai.
The new service has been made available in time for the start of the Rugby World Cup in September.
