Hotels in Northern Ireland could be in high demand this autumn as a major event returns to the region's capital city.

The 2011 Belfast Festival at Queen's will feature a varied line-up of shows and live productions at different venues from October 14th to 30th.

Music fans will be offered plenty of entertainment, including concerts by Elvis Costello, KT Tunstall, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and James Vincent McMorrow.

Performances will take place at venues such as the Grand Opera House, the Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall.

Dance enthusiasts will be able to see a show featuring the world-renowned Carlos Acosta, who will present his work Premieres Plus at the Grand Opera House between 27 and 29 October.

Other highlights of the programme for the 2011 Belfast Festival at Queen's include a performance by acclaimed vocal group Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares at Ulster Hall and a concert by saxophonist Jan Garbarek and the Hilliard Ensemble at St Thomas' church.
