Gordon Ramsay opens first restaurant in Canada

Gordon Ramsay has opened his first restaurant in Canada - the Laurier Gordon Ramsay in Montreal.
Opening its doors today (10 August), the new eatery is located 381 Laurier Avenue West in Outremont, which previously served as the venue for the Rotisserie Laurier BBQ.
The restaurant's menu combines classic dishes with new innovations, featuring options including rotisserie chicken prepared using a traditional recipe that dates back 75 years.
Guests can also try burgers, smoky ribs, grilled salmon and desserts such as carrot cake and sugar pie.
The establishment's main dining area features banquettes for families and small groups, a theatre-style kitchen area for larger groups and a new bar with a wine cellar.
Ramsay will serve as a consultant to the restaurant and will oversee the development of its menu.
The celebrity chef said: 'Montreal has such a vibrant culinary tradition and it is both exciting and challenging to be part of a local institution that has defined dining out for generations of people.
'Laurier Gordon Ramsay is about good food, friendly service and a brilliant atmosphere. We're the ultimate casual dining destination in a city that's passionate about what's on the plate.'
