Design September returning to Brussels

There will be some new sights and experiences on offer to travellers taking city breaks in Brussels next month when the Belgian capital hosts Design September.
Marking its fifth anniversary this year, the event celebrates contemporary design with a diverse programme of exhibitions, talks and other activities.
Among the highlights is the Designers Weekend, which serves as a showcase of some of the international brands that are on the Belgian market.
Scheduled for 24 and 25 September, the event will feature a number of participating establishments and outlets that will be connected by a shuttle service.
There will also be 'open door' days giving members of the public access to some prestigious designers' workshops and a series of exhibitions, one of which will feature an installation representing the work of Donna Wilson, who was named British designer of the year in 2010.
Other venues set to host displays and other events include the Design Vlaanderen Gallery, La Loge Museum and Mercedes House.
