NYC & Company, the official tourism marketing organisation for New York City, has teamed up with organisations including the Off-Broadway League to launch an initiative offering two-for-one tickets to a range of theatre shows.

Off-Broadway Week will run from 26 September to 9 October and tickets will go on sale on 5 September.

More than 25 shows will be taking part, including limited productions like The Submission and long-running favourites such as Avenue Q and Stomp.

All of the performances will take place at theatres in the Manhattan area containing between 100 and 499 seats.

George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Company, said: 'Manhattan's intimate off-Broadway theatres are offering significant value this fall with two-for-one tickets for more than 25 shows.

'There is no better time to take advantage of this off-Broadway savings opportunity and experience some of the best theatre in the city.'

Returning this year for the fourth time, Off-Broadway Week is part of the Get More NYC promotional campaign.
