7 Sep 2011

Food connoisseurs will be arranging trips to Spain this autumn to combine sun and scenery with gourmet cuisine on the east coast.

Valencia Restaurant Week will return in the third week of November this year, bringing a host of Michelin-starred chefs and culinary experts with it.

The event will provide an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to explore and celebrate the city's gastronomic offerings.

More than 50 dining establishments will be taking part, including Restaurante Torrijos, A tu gusto, Alejandro del Toro, La Lola and Restaurante Oleo.

Participating eateries will offer a range of discounts and special offers on all sorts of dishes, from classic paella and tapas to refined Mediterranean cuisine.

Good food is one of many attractions on offer in Valencia over the coming months, with a range of sporting contests also set to take place in the city.

The Open ATP 500 tennis event will come to the City of Arts and Sciences from 30 October to 6 November, while the Moto GP motorcycling championship will reach its climax on Spain's east coast from 4 to 6 November.
