Ad campaign highlights benefits of Southampton airport

Southampton airport has teamed up with The Purple Agency to launch a new marketing campaign highlighting the benefits on offer to people catching flights from the base.
The It's My Airport promotions are designed to boost awareness of the potential advantages of flying from Southampton for business and leisure travellers along the M3 corridor between Winchester and Windsor.
Consumers will see posters at stations across the South West Trains network, while radio and online media will also be used in the campaign.
Jan Halliday, director of marketing and communications for the south coast airport, said: 'Our objective is to create a better awareness of the huge range of benefits which come from travelling via Southampton airport.
'For business users that might mean getting home in time to see the children before they go to bed. For others that might mean making it easy to have a romantic weekend break.'
The base currently welcomes about 2m passengers a year, who catch flights to destinations across the UK and Europe with Eastern Airways, Flybe, Air France and other carriers.
