Enjoy Halloween high jinks in New York

Travellers visiting New York City towards the end of October will have the opportunity to experience the destination's famous Halloween celebrations.
There will be an array of weird and wonderful events taking place across the five boroughs, aimed at everyone from families to hardcore horror fans.
One of the most famous aspects of the celebrations is the New York Village Halloween Parade.
Described by organisers as 'the nation's most wildly creative public participatory event in the greatest city in the world', the parade invites all to join in as long as they are sporting suitably bizarre attire.
Those taking part will join hundreds of puppets, bands playing a range of different music, dancers, artists and many others on a procession from 6th Avenue south of Spring Street to between 18th and 23rd streets.
The theme of this year's parade is 'the "i" of the beholder', or more specifically the disembodied eye.
People visiting New York for Halloween will also be able to check out parties at venues such as Capitale, the Union Bar, Revival and Mars 2112.
