Reggae Marathon returning to Jamaica in December

People planning to get some winter sun by paying a visit to Jamaica later this year could have the opportunity to attend, and possibly take part in, a fun and unique event.
The 2011 Reggae Marathon is set to take place in the town of Negril on 3 December.
On the night before the race, participants will be able to take in some carbohydrates and energy-rich foods at an occasion known as the 'world's best Rasta pasta party'.
The marathon will begin at 05:15 on 3 December - to avoid the hottest time of the day - with runners making their way through Long Bay Beach Park on a seven-mile stretch of white-sand coastline in Negril.
People taking part in the challenge will also see the town of Green Island and get to enjoy live reggae music being performed at regular points along the route.
Entry fees are £58 per person for the marathon and half-marathon and £43 for the 10km race.
Travellers planning a more restful winter break in Jamaica can spend their time relaxing on some of the island's many beaches or visiting attractions such as Dunn's River Falls in Ocho Rios.
