Czech Tourism has announced details of some of the events due to take place in Prague next year, which will serve up good food, live music and much more for visitors to enjoy.

One of the country's most important cultural traditions is Prague Spring, an international music festival that will be returning for its 67th outing in 2012.

Due to run from 12 May to 3 June next year, the event features a programme of about 50 concerts attended by up to 40,000 people.

Travellers will also be catching flights to Prague to check out the city's annual food festival, a three-day celebration of Czech cuisine that will return from 25 to 27 May 2012.

Visitors can sample creations from some of the country's finest chefs and take part in wine tasting sessions, a short course exploring the work of the sommelier and other activities.

More unique culinary experiences will be on offer at the Czech Beer Festival Prague, which will showcase some of the best that the country's breweries and food producers have to offer at the PVA Letnany venue from 17 May to 2 June next year.
