There will be no shortage of festive entertainment on offer to families visiting Florida this Christmas, with a series of one-off shows and events set to take place at destinations such as Universal Orlando Resort.

Among the highlights for visitors to look out for at this location is Grinchmas, a new stage show inspired by the classic Dr Seuss children's story How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Due to be performed at the resort's Islands of Adventure complex, the production will feature an original musical score, the Whos from Whoville and the grumpy Grinch himself.

The Macy's Holiday Parade - a spin-off of the famous procession that takes place in New York City on Thanksgiving Day - will be another big attraction in Orlando this Christmas.

Every day from 3 December to 1 January, visitors to Universal Studios will be treated to an array of impressive sights including colourful festive characters, floats and giant balloons.

Music fans might be interested in paying a visit to the Music Plaza stage at Universal Studios to catch a show by Christmas music specialists Mannheim Steamroller, who will be playing on the first three weekends in December.
