Aer Lingus schedules more Gatwick to Dublin flights
28 Oct 2011
Aer Lingus has announced that it will offer extra flights to Dublin from London Gatwick during the forthcoming winter season.
The airline has scheduled six daily services between the destinations, compared to the four that were available last winter.
After increasing capacity between London Gatwick and Dublin by 56%, Aer Lingus will provide a higher frequency on this route than any other carrier.
The new schedule will include early services leaving the Irish capital at 06:40 and the UK airport at 06:50.
A new 17:50 departure will also be made available from Gatwick, providing another option for travellers who are forced to fly at peak times.
The changes mean that Aer Lingus will operate a total of 27 flights in each direction between the Republic of Ireland and London, more than any other airline.
Cork, Knock and Shannon are also accessible with the carrier from Gatwick, along with Friedrichshafen in Germany and Malaga in Spain.
