The Belgian Tourist Office-Brussels & Wallonia has created a short film inspired by the character of Tintin that encourages fans to consider a trip to Belgium.

Destination T, which is available to view on the tourism agency's YouTube channel, was released to coincide with the release of the new Steven Spielberg movie The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.

The short film takes viewers on a journey through Belgium, starting off in the comic book character's birthplace of Brussels before heading south to Louvain-la-Neuve.

It illustrates how the Belgian capital's inhabitants had an influence on the work of Herge, the creator of Tintin, and highlights the enduring legacy that the intrepid young reporter has left in the city.

People planning holidays in the European country can check out attractions such as the Belgian Comic Strip Centre in Brussels or head to the Herge Museum in Louvain-la-Neuve, which boasts a collection including more than 80 original plates and hundreds of photographs and documents.
