Celine Dion fans will have the opportunity to combine a Caribbean holiday with a live show by the award-winning singer early next year.

It has been confirmed that the Canadian performer will be among the headline acts at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues 'Art of Music' Festival, which will return for its 16th annual outing in January 2012.

Dion is a Grammy award-winning artist best known for hits such as My Heart Will Go On, Think Twice and Because You Loved Me, which have topped singles charts all over the world.

In 2004, she received the Chopard Diamond accolade at the World Music Awards after selling more than 175m albums worldwide.

John Lynch, Jamaica's director of tourism, said there are high hopes for the 2012 festival following the addition of Dion to the line-up.

He added: 'Visitors to Jamaica will have an opportunity to not only experience a great artist in a great destination, but enjoy the diversity of our attractions and cuisine [as well].'

Set to be held at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium near Montego Bay from 26 to 28 January 2012, the Jamaica Jazz and Blues 'Art of Music' Festival will also feature performances from the likes of Kelly Rowland and Nicole Henry.
