Ibiza Tourist Board launches diving brochure

Ibiza Tourist Board launches diving brochure
15 Nov 2011

Keen divers can now find out more about some of the underwater experiences on offer in Ibiza following the launch of a dedicated brochure by the island's tourist board.

The new publication is made entirely of rock paper, a 100% waterproof and tear-resistant material, which makes it ideal for people taking part in watersports and other outdoor activities.

It provides details about 20 of Ibiza's best diving locations, along with information such as difficulty levels, ease of access, maximum and minimum depths and the proximity of caves, wreckages and other features.

The Balearic isle is home to 12 centres associated with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (Padi), which cater for beginners as well as people with more experience.

Among the highlights of the marine environment surrounding the island is the wreck of the Don Pedro, a merchant ship that sunk in 2007, and meadows of Neptune grass that were added to Unesco's World Heritage list in 1999.

Earlier this year, Padi identified Ibiza as the best summer diving location in Europe.
