Universal Orlando to host New Orleans-style Mardi Gras event

People planning family holidays in Florida between February and April next year will be able to join in with Universal Orlando Resort's New Orleans-style Mardi Gras celebrations.
On Saturdays and select nights from 11 February to 14 April, the theme park will treat guests to a range of sights, sounds and entertainment, including colourful parades and live music.
The Mardi Gras 2012 concert series at Universal Orlando will include a show by Grammy Award-winning artist Kelly Clarkson on 18 February.
A full line-up including 13 more acts will be announced early next year.
The heart of the celebrations will be the French Quarter Courtyard, where visitors will be able to hear music performed by authentic New Orleans bands and sample Cajun foods including jambalaya, gumbo and beignets.
All of the Mardi Gras festivities are included in the regular admission price at Universal Studios Florida, which will also be launching a 3D attraction inspired by the animated movie Despicable Me next year.
