Mexico recommended for romantic holidays

Couples planning a romantic holiday or a honeymoon have been encouraged to consider visiting Mexico.
Carmen Laborin of the Mexico Tourism Board claimed that the North American nation is one of the world's most romantic destinations and 'unparalleled in its versatility' as a honeymoon hotspot.
She highlighted a range of travel opportunities and experiences on offer to visitors, from beach breaks and luxury escapes to ecotourism, culture and outdoor adventure.
'Whether you are looking to bask in the sun or explore the Mayan sites, there will never be [a] shortage of activity and romance in Mexico,' added Ms Laborin.
The country's tourism authorities are expecting growth in visitor numbers in the coming years as a result of more investment and expansion by airlines, resorts, cruise operators and other organisations.
Mexico was identified as one of five key growth areas in the World Travel Market 2011 Industry Report, along with Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and Argentina.
