KLM investing in business class meals

KLM investing in business class meals
30 Nov 2011

Travellers catching business class flights with KLM later this year will be offered some new culinary options.

The airline announced that it will be serving meals by the Flemish chef Peter Goossens, of the Hof van Cleve restaurant in western Belgium, on intercontinental services operating out of Amsterdam from 1 December 2011.

Hof van Cleve currently boasts three Michelin stars and was ranked 15th in a list of the world's 50 best restaurants this year.

Mr Goossens is the latest in a line of distinguished culinary experts to design menus for KLM's business class passengers, following Sergio Herman, Jonnie Boer and Mario Ridder.

Erik Varwijk, the airline's managing director, said: 'Peter Goossens has become a household name in the international culinary world. KLM is therefore extremely proud to be working with him.'

The chef said it is a 'great honour' to be given the opportunity to send his creations across the world on the carrier's flights.
