Arizona visitors urged to try activities 'fit for a prince'

Arizona's tourism office has encouraged visitors to the state to try some activities 'fit for a prince', following Prince Harry's recent trip to the region for Apache helicopter training.

Among the outdoor pursuits on offer is rafting along the Grand Canyon's Colorado river, which provides the opportunity to see some of the world's most dramatic natural spectacles.

Side excursions are available to locations such as Deer Creek Falls and Elves Chasm.

Travellers looking for even more of an adrenaline-fuelled thrill could consider skydiving with providers such as SkyVenture Arizona, a centre located in Eloy, between Phoenix and Tucson.

The company offers experiences for everyone from first-timers to seasoned jumpers, while those who do not want to take to the sky can use a wind tunnel.

Other activities recommended by the Arizona Office of Tourism include checking out the nightlife in Scottsdale and learning what it takes to fly a military fighter jet at Flight Combat International in Mesa.
