Cape Town launches Best Summer Ever campaign

Cape Town is hoping to welcome more travellers over the coming months as a result of the Your Best Summer Ever campaign.
The official destination marketing organisation for the city and the Western Cape region, Cape Town Routes Unlimited (CTRU), has arranged partnerships with hundreds of local restaurants, hotels, attractions and tour operators for the initiative.
As a result, visitors can access an extensive range of discount vouchers and special offers to make their trip as affordable as possible.
Alan Winde, the Western Cape's minister of finance and tourism, said the campaign is aimed at consumers who are looking for holiday bargains as a result of the economic downturn.
'CTRU has canvassed the industry to come up with some great deals and we are ready to welcome visitors from South Africa and abroad to enjoy their best summer ever,' he added.
Mr Winde also highlighted positive recent developments for the region such as Cape Town's appearance on the New York Times' list of the world's top ten hip cities and Table Mountain being named one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
