BA reveals top Christmas companions

British Airways (BA) has revealed that family and partners are the most popular people to spend Christmas with following a survey of its Facebook followers.
Some 70% of respondents said they enjoy spending the festive season with loved ones and family members, while 15% revealed that friends are their favourite holiday companions.
A small minority (2%) revealed they would rather celebrate the festive season with their pet.
Madonna, Brad Pitt, Jake Gyllenhaal, Salma Hayek and Matthew Fox emerged as the top celebrities to spend Christmas with, while the UK, US, Australia, Canada and Brazil were the most popular travel destinations.
While it was no shock that family topped the survey, Richard Bowden, BA's digital marketing innovation manager, said it was surprising to see pets making the top five.
He added: 'Icy destinations including the UK, US and Canada were the order of the day for the top places to spend Christmas, although Australia fought its corner.'
Mr Bowden noted that many people would be prepared to cook the turkey on a barbecue in return for a festive trip down under.
