Marina Bay Sands celebrates 'stellar 2011'

Marina Bay Sands has highlighted some of the awards and acknowledgements it received in 2011, which the resort's operators described as a 'stellar' year.

One of the attraction's biggest successes came at the Singapore Experience Awards 2011, where it received special recognition for its contribution to the local tourism industry.

The Marina Bay Sands Hotel featured on Conde Nast Traveller's Hot List as one of the best new properties of last year, while Singapore Tatler magazine said the Sands SkyPark offers the best views of the city.

Both the ArtScience Museum and its major new display showcasing artefacts from the Titanic also received recognition, with the National Critics Choice naming them the best new museum of the year and best new maritime historical exhibition respectively.

The Titanic show will continue until 29 April 2012.

Singapore visitors looking for culinary experiences at Marina Bay Sands can head to Waku Ghin, CUT or DB Bistro Moderne, all of which received honours at the G Restaurant Awards 2011.
